It is the goal of Leadership Jackson Alumni to undertake at least one community project each year. The following projects and community service events reflect the impact of Leadership Jackson and the Alumni Association on Jackson-Madison County:
- 2005 - LJAA Volunteers Top Bell Ringers for The Salvation Army.

2005 - Provided manpower to create a Family Visitation Room for Madison
County CASA.
- 2005 - Provided technical support for the creation of a
Volunteer Action Center in partnership with United Way of West TN

-Funded and built a Habitat for Humanity Home in partnership with Delta
Faucet in the new Habitat Meadows development.
- 2005 - Provided funding
and volunteers for the West TN Discovery Children's Museum

Provided research for best inventory process for RIFA's Food Pantry.
- 2004 - 'Step One' – Develop, print and distribute a brochure with
contact information for vital social services to be distributed to socially
economically disadvantaged families and individuals.
- 2004 - Assist
West TN Cerebral Palsy Association with their 2005 Links of Love Telethon by
assisting with pre-funding and providing volunteers for the Telethon.

- Work toward goal of 100% volunteers for the Salvation Army Bell Ringing in
2004 & 2005 through the assistance of Leadership Jackson alumni, business
contacts, friends and family.
2003 - The Wolves of 2003 and the Leadership Jackson Class of 2003 has committed to sponsor the building of two Habitat for Humanity homes in Jackson before the end of 2005.

- 2002 - The Cobras - Teacher Supply Closet: Model program to start at Lincoln Elementary School to provide school supplies for students and teachers who may be in need.
Program will be expanded to other schools in the future.
- 2002 - Panthers - ABC Me Read program. A program to encourage birth parents to begin reading to their child as infants. A bag with a book for infants, bookmark with more age-appropriate books as they grow and a brochure about the program and the importance of reading will be given to each new parents with babies born at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
- 2002 - Wolves - Serve as a PR Committee for Habitat for Humanity to promote their mission through the creation of a
website www.jacksonhabitat.com, brochure and marketing efforts.
- 2001 -- The Hawks develop and maintain this web site www.leadershipjackson.com
as a place for alumni and potential recruits to get information relating to the
Leadership Jackson program.
- 2001 -- The Bears develop

to promote Jackson for the 2003 Dixie Boys Baseball World Series.
- 2001 -- Provided leadership for 2002 Olympic Torch Stop in Jackson
- 2001 -- Provided volunteers for Casey Jones Train Fest.
- 2001 -- Implemented a Comfort Critters Program for emergency vehicle personnel to give to children in trauma situations.
- 2000 -- Provided volunteers for Shannon Street Blues Fest and Forked Deer River Festival.
- 1999 -- Created Leadership University, youth leadership development program and provide volunteers for Board, as on - going program.
- 1999 -- Provided leadership for History Channel Great Race-Pit Stop in Jackson.
- 1996 -- First stage of creating a Children's Museum (multi-year project)
- 1996 -- Began work on an Education Foundation for the Jackson-Madison County School System (multi-year project)
- 1996 -- Sponsored a Tech Prep Orientation Program for 8th graders and parents.
- 1995 -- Pit Stop, Interstate Battery Great North American Car Race-provided leadership.
- 1994 -- Partnered with BellSouth Mobility to place cellular phones in each Jackson-Madison County school bus for quick response in emergency situations.
- 1993 -- Provided leadership for Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Game fundraiser (a multi-year project).
- 1993 -- Provided volunteers for Shout About It community pride event.
- 1992 -- Provided volunteers for Tennessee Senior Games in Jackson.
- 1990 -- Conducted research on establishing a Citizens Police Academy and presented to Jackson Police Department, who implemented it.
- 1990 -- Provided pool of volunteers for very successful NAIA Women's National Basketball Championship Tournament (a multi-year project).
- 1990 -- Provided manpower for the Hot Air Balloon Race in conjunction with the Forked Deer Festival.
- 1989 -- Implemented a Coats for Kids program for underprivileged children (a multi-year project)
- 1989 -- Pit Stop, Interstate Battery Great American Car Race-provided leadership- chosen 2nd Favorite City by drivers out of 40 cities across U.S., received trophy and $2000 for local library.
- 1989 -- Instrumental in establishing a Midnight Basketball program for at-risk youth with the City of Jackson (a multi-year project).
- 1987 -- We recommended development of joint City/County government. It was voted on sometime after our class but it was defeated!
- 1984 -- Established a MADD Chapter - Mothers Against Drunk Drivers
- 1984 -- Partnered with Jackson-Madison County General Hospital to establish a latch-key program for kids called "Going It Alone".
